Laminam: Grès Porcelain
Naturally inspired by reality.
Everything starts with what the earth provides us with: sand, clay, feldspars.
Laminam add experience and a unique know-how, the result of years of research, leading to the ongoing improvements to the range of products available.
In every research and development project, resources are deployed to test products and solutions which fully comply with the company’s objectives: excellent quality, superior performance levels and sustainable manufacturing processes.
A super Nature.
Laminam did not stop with the materials traditionally used to produce ceramics.
In the industrial process, design and experimentation go hand in hand.
The technological lab works every day to raise the level of quality of products, thanks to production tests and non-stop research into raw materials, which has led to significant novelties in the formation of the bodies.
One of the solutions implemented was to add the typical elements borrowed from other similar sectors, such as the porcelain industry, referred to as ‘white gold’ for centuries.
Technical characteristics
Durable quality: thanks to the quality of the raw materials and a technology resulting from years of research, Laminam slabs guarantee durability over time;
Easy to clean: Laminam surfaces are quick and easy to clean, requiring no particular maintenance work over time.
The special ceramic processing prevents any mould, mildew and fungi from forming;
Environmentally-friendly products: Laminam only uses natural raw materials and aims to achieve low energy consumption, zero polluting emissions and minimum CO2 emissions in its manufacturing processes.
Laminam is the first manufacturer of ceramic slabs in the world to be awarded the “Solid Surfacing for Food Zone” certification, which authorises the use of its finishes in direct contact with foodstuffs and any related liquid condensate they produce.
The certification is issued by the NSF – American National Standard for Food Equipment, the most prestigious independent organisation for the certification of food zone products in the US and Canada and one of the most important globally.
Laminam finishes sold in 1620 x 3240 mm size for the purpose of manufacture as kitchen countertops meet all North American regulatory requirements with regard to an absence of heavy metals, ease of cleaning, and resistance to acid corrosion.
All of which are hallmarks of the Italian multinational’s surfaces, which are also resistant to heat, scratches, deep abrasions, and UV rays, as well as being intrinsically antibacterial and able to inhibit the formation of microorganisms.
BLEND COLLECTION
The right balance of shape and colour: minimal surfaces come in classic and very simple colour.
The original inspiration was cement, yet the end result has a much further reach, with a texture that visibly tends to be rough, thanks to a specific graphic study, which resulted in its speckled appearance.
This feeling disappears almost by surprise when you touch it.
CALCE COLLECTION
An inspiration drawn from simplicity that becomes a measure of style.
Everything begins with one look, a glimpse of everyday life, a plastered wall which becomes the source of inspiration to create a new surface where simplicity and concurrently softness become the distinguishing aesthetic and tactile features.
The range consists of soft, gentle hues, such as Avorio (ivory) and Bianco (white), along with decidedly bolder colours such as Antracite (anthracite) and Nero (black).
CEMENTI COLLECTION
Inspired by cement, yet offering the versatility of ceramic.
Cementi appears almost to release the material, with effects that lend the surfaces texture and might, albeit projected onto large sized slabs, with a strong contemporary character.
A surface distinguished by a finish that is not too pronounced to render almost the idea of abstraction.
This series is inspired directly by cement, produced in ultra light-weight ceramic sheets suitable for applications where the original material would be unable to guarantee the same technical and aesthetic results.
Designed in three colours, Avorio (ivory), Grigio (grey) and Nero (black), with a notable textured surface character, this line expresses mighty solidity that meets the light weight, ductility and eco-sustainability of Laminam ceramic.
COLLECTION
That idea of a timeless classic which only plain colours can provide.
The Collection series needs no introduction thanks to the idea of perfection it conveys at first sight.
Its colours, like the paints squeezed onto a painter’s palette, give rise to all the rest, and they constitute the utmost versatility for those wishing to create spaces and shapes.
FILO COLLECTION
A gem line launched to innovate and which still continues to astound.
Born 10 years ago, Filo is one of the most popular series ever thanks to the precious touch it manages to lend any setting it is applied to.
This complex and refined surface features a texture that charms and disarms its observer continuously, a range of colours that recall its inspiring gems: from Oro (gold) to Argento (silver), through to bolder solutions such as Pece (pitch) or Mercurio (mercury).
FLUIDOSOLIDO COLLECTION
The contrast between sea and land to give spaces a new personality.
A series that came to be almost as a wager: to produce architectural surfaces that would recreate the contrasts found in nature. In particular, those of the underwater world, a primordial world full of life.
Fluid surfaces obtained through the controlled expansion of cast pigments on the slab, which in the Blu Lucidato (polished blue) finish express feelings of quiet and a propensity for spirituality.
FOKOS COLLECTION
Primordial elements are combined to lend spaces unique tactile sensations.
A series with velvety-smooth tactile sensations, based on an impeccable search for just the right shades.
Beige, the matrix of all the colours in the range, is offered in its variants to provide warm shades in the composition of spaces.
Hues devised to decorate and at the same time welcome, which are easy to combine with one another and which create endless customisation possibilities for their intended surroundings.
I NATURALI COLLECTION
Nature inspires a series made up of striking simplicity and elegance.
The distinguishing trait of the I Naturali series is soil: the solidity of Carrara marbles, the malleability of travertine, the uniform colours of volcanic rocks, such as basalt and obsidian.
Very different materials, all sourced from the Italian subsoil and whose identity is applied to an extensive range of slabs, with different styles and finishes available.
A new canon of beauty, elegance and solemnity transposed to large sized ceramic slabs, which are immune to the passing
IN-SIDE COLLECTION
Body and surface continuity of time and define a new aesthetic paradigm.
The great traditional Italian architectural stones: Porfido, Piasentina, Cardoso.
These materials have been popular since the age of antiquity due to their strength, hard-wearing resistance and at the same time their outstanding styling appeal. They are the inspiration for the IN-SIDE series. The series is named after the state-of-the-art technology with which Laminam was able to quash another paradigm of ceramic surfaces, creating a body and surface continuity in the slabs.
LEGNO VENEZIA COLLECTION
The stakes from the Republic of Venice are transformed into refined elegance.
The Legno Venezia line is inspired by Briccole, those stakes famous across the globe, which have guided vessels along the Venetian canals for centuries.
When they are replaced due to wear caused by the effect of brackish water, the craftsmen of the Republic of Venice give them a new lease of life, turning them into items of interior décor.
Laminam was inspired by this hundred-year tradition and created a surface capable of replicating the essence of briccole on ceramic and the wooden vein patterns in three colours: Corda (rope), Sabbia (sand) and Fumo (smoke).
OSSIDO COLLECTION
The Ossido series stems from a wager against time, in an attempt to crystallise a material at a specific point in its life and have it stay that way forever.
Specifically, it entails the reproduction of a oxidation process on slabs of copper and metal, which generates a very strong and rich colour, yet which inevitably disappears as the oxidation process progresses.
A series where the fundamental role is played by light, which always generates new reflections and new variations in colour.
OXIDE COLLECTION
Trapping the passing of time onto the surface of ceramic.
The Oxide line is in some way the older sister of the Ossido line, and it is one of Laminam’s oldest products.
In this case too, its creation started with a study of materials, which were observed and subjected to the atmospheric agents; a specific moment in the oxidation process on the ceramic surface was then “caught on camera”.
Oxide surfaces are the sum of multiple decorative technologies which are combined and embellished with natural metallic-look pigments.
SETA COLLECTION
A line that is enchanting to look at and surprising to touch.
Seta was coined with the desire to experiment and the intention of astounding the end users as they observe it, its name is due to a thread which is repeated on all the surfaces, to produce the perception of scratches on plain-coloured slabs.
The full-bodied nature of the colour is rich yet not opulent, elegant yet never kitsch.
The Seta range is available in four colours, which liaise with one another with the utmost delicacy: Glacé, Gris, Liquorice, Or.
